Stewart Assigned to Two Natural Resources Subcommittees
Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Chris Stewart (R-Utah) accepted two new subcommittee assignments on the Natural Resources Committee. He will serve on the Public Lands and Environmental Regulations Subcommittee and the Water and Power Subcommittee.
“Utah’s Second District has been blessed with an abundance of natural resources,” Stewart said. “I look forward to working on the Natural Resources Committee, specifically on the Water and Power, and Public Lands and Environmental Regulations Subcommittees in seeking an appropriate balance of access, conservation, and energy development. I look forward to playing an active role on both of these subcommittees, whose work has such dramatic impact on my constituents. I am especially honored to join my Utah colleague, Rep. Rob Bishop (R-Utah), who is the Chairman of the Public Lands and Environmental Regulations Subcommittee, and believe that together we can continue to help protect Utah’s land.”
