Rep. Stewart to Help Unveil Vietnam War Memorial Replica, ‘Wall That Heals’, in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY – On Thursday, June 30th, Rep. Chris Stewart (R-Utah), an Air Force Veteran, will speak at the opening ceremony of the “Wall That Heals”, a 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which will be on display in West Valley City.

The “Wall That Heals” honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces during the Vietnam War and its walls bear the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam, including the names of 361 Utahns. The Wall That Heals replica recognizes that not all may have the opportunity to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. and aims to give veterans and their family members all across America an opportunity to see the Memorial.

The Wall That Heals will be open 24 hours a day following the opening ceremony through the July 4th holiday. There is no charge for admission.
