Salt Lake City – Congressman Chris Stewart (R-Utah) is honoring 11 organizations and/or individuals with his Congressional Patriotism and Service Award at an awards ceremony on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Salt Lake City. The award recipients exemplify leadership, exceptional citizenship, dedication, patriotism and a have service-oriented attitude in their home, community and country.

The award recipients include:
Utah Honor Flight
Tooele City Fire Department
William Ryan, student at Judge Memorial Catholic High School
Madeline Pettit, student at Bountiful High School
Wayne County Commissioner Newell Harward
Former Washington County Commissioner Alan Gardner
Colonel Sean Kirschner, Commander of U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground
Alfred Arruda, WWII, Korean and Vietnam Veteran
Fallen West Valley City Police Officer Cody Brotherson
Lorna Koci, Executive Director of the Bountiful Community Food Pantry
Carol Hollowell, Executive Director of Switchpoint, fighting poverty and homeless in southern Utah.
